Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Avendale is a school run by an Elder Vampire and a Witch. It is a place where young werewolves, witches, vampires, and shapeshifters can come to learn of their powers - and is also a safe haven from the Slayers and Hunters that seek their deaths.
Within the school, Headmaster Meiqure and Headmistress Kaeli make things run as smoothly as they can and keep an eye on the outside world. They do all they can to prevent the discovery of the school's location - which is protected by a number of spells that Meiqure found ages ago and the Headmistress empowered - from being discovered by those who would seek to destroy it. But with some Slayers and Hunter discovering magical blood in their veins and them getting ever more adamant to bring about the school's downfall, things are getting darker.
